Voices of Praise will begin the fall season with rehearsals on Wed. evenings from 6:30-7:30pm in the church balcony, starting on Sept. 8. Rehearsals for the Candlelight Christmas Concert will begin the first week in October, so don’t miss the September warm-up session!!! Girlsfriends 4 God Event! Women’s Ministry Refresh! Event: “Gather, Gab & Giggle!” Thursday, September 16, at 6:30pm. “Taste of DR”. Come and join the other women of DR for an evening of food, fellowship and fun. We’ll be sampling tasty morsels from our ladies favorite recipes, chatting, and learning about Women’s Ministry opportunities for this year!

“Karing For the Kuehl’s”: A Benefit for the Steve Kuehl Family. Sunday, September 26th from Noon-3 p.m. The afternoon will include a Pasta Bar, kids games, raffle items, a silent auction and live music! Tickets for the pasta bar are $25.00 per family and $10.00 per individual. Steve has been fighting Multiple Myeloma, a bone marrow cancer since December of 2008. He has spent the last year and a half in Froedtert Hospital undergoing chemotherapy, two bone marrow transplants, countless blood and platelet transfusions, numerous GI (upper and lower), stomach and intestinal tests along with experimental tests and drugs. In July, Steve ended up in Intensive Care because his kidneys totally shut down. He has and will continue to have dialysis several times a week for the rest of his life, unless his kidneys start to function on their own. This is an opportunity for us to lift up the Kuehl family and thank them for how they have blessed each one of our lives. We hope to see you there! New Member Class: Pastor Kurt Wenzelburger will lead a New Member Class/Bible Study which will be held on Thursday evenings from 6:30pm-8:00pm in the Fellowship Hall beginning Thursday, September 16th for six weeks. Who can take this class? Non-Lutheran families with kids in our school, including pre-school and daycare; frequent visitors to worship; those who have expressed desire to join DR; and our own members who desire a faith review.
