IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Find community in your community at Divine Redeemer in Hartland!

If you are looking for a place to learn, grow, serve, and connect in Lake Country—Divine Redeemer welcomes you!

Divine Redeemer Lutheran Church, School, and Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC), located in Hartland, is

proud to enter its 53rd year of ministry and 46th school year serving families across the Lake Country area. With over

500 students enrolled from infants through 8th grade across two beautiful

campus buildings, Divine Redeemer continues to provide Christ-centered

education marked by academic excellence, compassionate care, and faith

formation. This school year marks the second year of our brand-new, state-of-

the-art ECDC, a 25,000+ square foot facility built to nurture our youngest

learners (infant – 4k) in a loving Christian environment. We are honored to walk

alongside families and equip students with the tools they need to grow! For more information or to learn about

enrollment, visit drlc.org/admissions.

This fall brings many exciting opportunities for our church to connect with the wider Lake Country community. On

Sunday, September 7, 2025, we will celebrate our annual Church Kick-off Sunday to mark the

beginning of a new ministry year. This joyful day is a way for new families, neighbors, and

friends to explore everything Divine Redeemer has to offer. We are excited to have special

music this day at all worship services, including our traditional services at 8:00am and

10:30am in the sanctuary and our contemporary worship at 9:15am in the gym. From

10:30am to 2:30pm, we will host our 4th annual Oktoberfest celebration featuring live

German music, bounce houses, root beer floats, brats, pretzels, and a beer garden provided

by Brewfinity, our favorite local Christian brewer. This community-wide event is open to the

public, and everyone is welcome! It is a free event accepting free-will donations for food.

In addition to Kick-off Sunday, we are excited to welcome nationally known Christian comedian Amy

Barnes to Divine Redeemer on Wednesday, September 3rd. This will be a special night of laughter,

community, and fellowship. Snacks and beverages will be provided, and tickets can be purchased online

at drlc.org/comedy. All men and women are welcome to attend and enjoy a night filled with joy and

connection.

Another highlight of our ministry calendar is our annual Serve Sunday on October 12. On this day, our congregation

worships together at one 9am service time and then goes out into the community to

serve. Whether it is yard work, food drives, writing letters, or volunteering with local

nonprofits, Serve Sunday is an invitation for all to roll up their sleeves and make an impact

in the lives of our neighbors. You do not have to be a church member to participate.

Divine Redeemer is also committed to mission and outreach efforts beyond our local

area. This summer, a team from our congregation traveled to Puebla, Mexico, in partnership with Living Hope

International, an orphanage and ministry that is transforming lives through the Hope of The Gospel. Our mission team

had a powerful experience, and we welcome others from the community to join us on future trips. You do not need to be

a member of Divine Redeemer to serve with us—just a willing heart and a desire to serve! Reach out to Pastor Chris

about being on the outreach team.

Throughout the week, Divine Redeemer offers opportunities for people of all ages and life stages to grow in their faith.

From our “Soar with Me” parent/child playgroup for preschoolers, to our vibrant Senior ministry, we have a place for

everyone. Our Bible study offerings include DivorceCare, GriefShare, groups for middle school, high school, and young

adults, as well as women’s, men’s, and coed studies. In addition, we are proud to offer

a music ministry that includes choirs, handbells, and praise bands. Jump in at DR and

learn more at drlc.org/jumpin.

We opened newly renovated spaces for our Adult Bible studies and Youth Ministry

just this past month and are so excited about all the ministry that will happen in these

beautiful new, dedicated spaces!

No matter what brings you through our doors, whether for school, worship, service, study, or support, Divine Redeemer

is a place where you will find community, encouragement, and the love of Christ. We invite you to get involved, reach out

with prayer needs, join a Bible study, or simply stop by and experience the heart of our ministry. At Divine Redeemer, there is a place for you!
