CURRENT PARENTS

Welcome DR parents and caregivers!  We want you to know that when you are a part of this school, you are family!  Your precious students will be loved on (and prayed on) by our loving and Christian teachers.  No, we aren't perfect, but we love and rely on a perfect Savior who guides our actions and decisions. You can count on that! As a parent or caregiver of a DR student, we hope to give you ALL the resources you need to aid in this partnership between parent and teachers to make your child's time at DR a success! A few things to note:

  • We use a system called FASTDIRECT for messaging, grades, lunch ordering, important information and more! (We recommend you download the app so you can easily login and access information and get notifications).

  • We send out a weekly newsletter Fridays around 6pm.

  • Teachers also create weekly teacher newsletters.  You can find them within the Fastdirect Newsletter on Fridays.

  • We'd love for you to get involved anywhere and everywhere you would like. For more information about our Parent Teacher League, or PTL, reach out to Kerry Wehmeier. If you wish to be a room parent, the sign up is on our Prep Day.

  • Speaking of PREP DAY, it is always the first Monday of the school year. It is 9am - 6pm and you should NOT miss this day. It's super helpful for signing up for everything and getting all forms in!

  • Hot Lunches are on Tuesdays - Thursdays for 5k - 8th graders.  Lunch orders are due in advance, so pay attention to important dates.  Hot lunch days are TBD for our ECDC students (2k - 4k).

  • Our kids enjoy chapels on Wednesdays each week and sit with their Chapel Families, which are a mix of students from various grades. These families get very close throughout the year. Each quarter we support a different mission with our chapel offerings.

  • We use the Love and Logic approach to Discipline. Bullying is not tolerated.

  • Parent Teacher Conferences will take place October 24th  - 25th, 2024 (you do not want to miss these and teachers do not want you to either).

  • There is so much more to tell you, our current families, about DR, but this list is a great start. Seriously reach out to a staff, faculty or current parent and you'll see they will be more than happy to help you with any questions you have.
