What are Giving Tuesdays at DR?

"Giving Tuesday" is a global movement that encourages people to donate their time and money to charitable causes on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving in the United States. (There is Black Friday, Shop Small Saturday,

Cyber Monday, and Giving Tuesday.)

Several years ago Divine Redeemer had a longer list of needs such as HVAC units and more and instead of asking for them one day in one year, we spread out the ask over 3 years and every Tuesday of November each year. That is how Giving Tuesdays (every Tuesday in November) was born at DR!

DR's generosity shined through so brightly that all the 3 year goals were met in year two. The following year we paused Giving Tuesdays for the Capital Campaign. This year, 2024, we are bringing back Giving Tuesdays with a specific ask for the following needed items for our church and school:

You can donate via the link above to donate online (link here). You can also drop an envelope with cash/check made to DR in the offering (please leave memo "GIVING TUESDAYS" or write it on the envelope. You can also bring directly to the church office 8-3 on week days.
