WORSHIP TEAMS (VOLUNTEER OPORTUNITIES)

Greeters

Our Greeters warmly welcome all who come to worship. Greeters provide that first important contact to all who enter for worship. Greeters also direct worshipers and especially guests and answer questions that they might have.

Ushers

Our usher teams assist in worship by handing out bulletins, directing worshipers and helping them find seating, in collecting offerings, as well as help in the direction of communion. We welcome men and women of all ages to be

ushers. Consider signing up to usher as a family. Smiling faces are always needed!

Please call the church office or email Gene Borchardt for more information on how to get involved as an Usher.

Worship Experience Team

The Worship Experience team is made up of individuals who operate the sound, ProPresenter slides, livestream, and other audiovisual equipment during worship services. A good ear and basic familiarity with computers and e-mail is needed, but training is provided.

Team members are scheduled one service every 2-3 weeks, usually at the services you prefer to attend. Serving in this way at worship services is a vital task that supports our ministry in a very important way.

Lay Readers

A lay reader is a person who reads the scripture lessons during our worship services. Public scripture reading is an important ministry as the reader becomes a vehicle for sharing God's Word with the congregation.

Fellowship Time Volunteers

When we have the volunteers, they make and set out coffee and snacks between services. (Currently in need of teams, there are none.) Please call the church office or email Heidi Graf at church@drlc.org for more information on how to get involved with Fellowship Time

MUSIC TEAMS

Divine Singers

Divine Singers adult choir is a group of mixed voices singing to the Lord. Anybody eighteen or older is welcome to join the choir. Come and enjoy friendly, kind, and loving people in the Voices of Praise choir. Voices of Praise sings primarily in the sanctuary for the traditional services at 8 & 10:30 AM. If you are interested in joining the Adult Choir, contact the church office or email the Director of Music Heidi Graf.

Copy of Divine Singers will begin rehearsals on Tuesday, September 12 at 7pm in the church

Divine Ringers

A mixed group of people play handbells in our Divine Ringers Handbell choir for services at different times of the year. The distinct and beautiful sound of a handbell choir cannot be matched nor can the enjoyment of playing. Come for the challenge or come for the shear fun of it.  If you are interested in joining the Handbell Choir, contact the church office or email the Director of Music Heidi Graf.

Praise Bands

Praise Bands: Divine Redeemer has primarily 4 praise bands that provide upbeat and popular music for the contemporary worship services in the gym. These groups of singers and instrumentalists praise the Lord through various genres and styles.

  1. "Called By Him" is a rock style with five vocalists.

  2. "Voices of Truth" is an upbeat style with four vocalists.

  3. "One Voice" is a 'Point of Grace' style of music with 3 female vocalists.

  4. "Youth Band" is an upbeat contemporary style comprised of all youth musicians and vocalists.

Come and enjoy this contemporary style of worship and music. If you are interested in joining a Praise Band, contact the Director of Contemporary Music, Karen Lippert.

Children's Choir

Our Divine Redeemer Lutheran School student choirs sing periodically throughout the school year at our worship services. Choirs are divided by age groups K-2nd, 3rd-5th and 6-8th grade.
